AGFA HealthCare is pleased to announce that leading Belgian university hospital UZ Brussel has selected  AGFA HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging Platform to support its hospital-wide implementation of a unified medical imaging environment. This innovative solution combines advanced native diagnostic imaging features with intelligent workflow orchestration, and will  fulfil the hospital’s vision of a unified image management eco-system.

UZ Brussel University Hospital is deeply committed to  innovation in both medical care and technology providing the best possible care to patients. Founded within the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the hospital places great emphasis on scientific research, with almost 4,200 employees, 721 hospital beds, and accounting for more than 360,000 consultations every year for local and international patients.

After a competitive evaluation of multiple  vendors, UZ Brussel chose AGFA HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging (EI) Platform. The platform will deliver  performance and seamless integration across  hospital departments by the Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) for agnostic image fulfillment. This will provide rapid access to relevant information, leveraging to  “next-generation” image management functionality – essential to supporting  the best possible care to its patients.
