Extending the benefits of Enterprise Imaging to every department

As a health professional, imaging plays an ever-increasing role in your daily work, whether you are diagnosing or developing treatment plans for your patient. However, you simply don’t have the time to worry about creating, managing or finding the patient images that you need.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging (AGFA EI) gives you the dedicated workflow that makes working with images – as well as reporting and collaborating with your colleagues across specialties – a seamless part of your daily flow. You become an integral part of your hospital’s imaging ecosystem, and your images are part of the patient’s clinical record.

No more imaging silos

Medical imaging has become all-encompassing, but when images from different specialties or departments are kept in individual, separate systems, it is harder for everyone to work with them.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging is designed to enhance your flow by eliminating barriers and disruptions. You can find the images and reports you need quickly and smoothly, letting you focus on your core mission of providing outstanding patient care.

Be part of the network of care

With AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging, you are part of a one-of-a-kind, seamless, and secure community of care, helping to create an Imaging Health Network™ (IHN).

Across specialties, sites, geographies and time zones, AGFA EI empowers you to deliver exceptional patient care through connections.

Get the complete picture

By integrating with your Electronic Health Record (EHR), AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging gives you easy and quick access to a comprehensive and historical view of your patients.

This Imaging Health Record™ (IHR) lets you read images and diagnose your patient, confident that you are making your decisions based on the ‘complete picture’.

Structured image capture

Not all images are alike! Some imaging exams are scheduled, others are carried out “on the fly”. Some are made on modalities that generate DICOM-compliant images, while others can be created using a specialty device or even a smartphone.

AGFA EI streamlines the image acquisition process, with workflows that match your specialty’s need – including DICOM and non-DICOM images, mobile web upload, file system folders, Point-of-Care Ultrasound, medical photography and video.

Specialties

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging enables a smooth molecular imaging workflow, and optimizes multidisciplinary team meetings for your patient’s care and treatment follow-up. Dedicated hanging protocols and structured reporting speed up your report turnaround time, while remote reporting gives you the flexibility to create reports at home or in the office. Your colleagues can find the specific information they need quickly and easily, leaving you to focus on using your expertise to speed up decisions and, consequently, treatment.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging delivers:

  • Expandable list of dedicated color tables and thresholding
  • Triangulation and MIP display for PET and SPECT
  • PET, SPECT, CT and MR hybrid imaging and fusion
  • Alpha blending
  • SUV statistics offering standardization, choice of body weight, body surface area or lean body mass
  • Multi-study comparisons
  • Customizable hanging protocols
  • Automatic study registration and linking

In ophthalmology, images play a central role – in fact, can you even do an ophthalmic exam without imaging? But all too often the images from the many different ophthalmology modalities end up in their own, individual siloes – making it difficult to find what you need and compare images over time and across devices. AGFA EI eliminates the siloes, with a central archive and backup across devices. It streamlines image capture and management for you, embedding your images in the EMR, where the whole care team can access them. All the imaging information is available at the point of care, helping you deliver patient care efficiently.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging delivers:

  • Support for Flourescein Angiography, Optical Coherence Tomography (using your OPT system), and B-scan (both DICOM and non-DICOM devices)
  • Archiving of images and results from 3 party ophthalmology systems

Effective oral and maxillofacial surgery requires a broad range of dental images. AGFA EI makes it easy for you to capture, report and share images, and then to view them exactly the way you want. Maybe you want to see a Pantomograph (PX) image with an Occlusal (CR), and then add in Periapicals (IO)? Dedicated hanging protocols have been created for dental images, and you can customize them – for example, combining images in a single view.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging delivers:

  • Easy-to-use display and comparison of dental images, in a single view: Periapical, Pantomogram (PX), Cephalogram (CEPH), full mouth series, Cone Beam CT (MIP/MPR/3D capabilities), visible light images, etc.
  • Support for all DICOM modalities
  • Import from non-DICOM modalities
  • Reporting and collaboration tools
  • Specific access controls to ensure dental images are only accessible by departmental or identified staff, and are archived in a storage suited to dental imaging and photos

From diagnosis to protheses fitting, medical images play a vital role in orthopedic surgery. AGFA EI delivers the specialized workflows, tools and hanging protocols you need to make informed decisions about treatment – and then act on them.
If an image doesn’t contain any pre-existing DICOM-based measurement calibration, you can create a reference measurement for it, and all subsequent measurements using markup tools will then be calibrated against this reference measurement, streamlining your work.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging delivers:

  • Advanced functionalities such as MIP, MPR, 3D, etc.
  • Specialty measurement tools including orthopedic four-point angle measurements and an ultrasound caliper for measuring distance, time and velocity
  • Orthopedic surgical planning

In the Emergency Department, speed is everything. But that doesn’t mean you can cut corners. AGFA EI enables a smooth workflow for the department, while improving coordination of care and collaboration with specialists. For example, storage, accessibility and quick availability are key to the effective use of ultrasound for emergency medicine. When you carry out a Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), your diagnostic report is generated directly in the Emergency Department. But at the same time, it is available to the entire health team – automatically. Your workflow is smoother and faster, while enhancing efficiency and patient care delivery.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging delivers:

  • Linked documentation within the patient’s clinical context in the EHR
  • Encounter workflows, for which Enterprise Imaging automatically receives patient demographics (ADT) and appointment data (SIU) upon registration within the department.
  • Automatic population of patient metadata on the device modality worklist.
  • Central storage of imaging exams, and central availability from within your EHR through the XERO universal viewer.

Dermatology is a high-pressure department, and you are facing ever-increasing workloads. You don’t need the added pressure of managing the vast amounts of multimedia being produced – from dermoscopy, photographs, ultrasound and more. AGFA EI simplifies your image capture, sharing and visualization workflows, and makes sure that all your images become part of the patient’s clinical record. Collaboration tools enhance your confidence in clinical diagnoses, and it’s easier for you to track the patient’s condition, document their outcomes, to help you deliver excellent care.

AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging delivers:

  • Image manipulation
  • Tools to capture pictures using a smartphone or tablet, and import, store and view them in the EHR.

In breast cancer treatment, prevention through screening, early detection, and diagnostic accuracy are key to providing patients with the care they need. That means your role in screening and diagnostic review is critical. AGFA EI delivers workflow, diagnosis and multi-discipline collaboration benefits that keep you focused on the tasks where you make the greatest difference. No need to ‘push’ and ‘pull’ images from one system to another – instead, everything you need for both screening and diagnostic procedures is at your fingertips, on a single platform. With quick and easy access to your patient’s imaging history, you can compare priors, while advanced – yet flexible – hanging protocols let you manipulate and save your preferred reading sequence and create your own workflow.

NOTE: The AGFA Mammography Keypad is not available for use in the EU.
