Empowering the flow in Latin America: Radiologist interviews demonstrate how clinical communities are “finding their flow”.

At AGFA HealthCare, we are committed to “next generation” delivery of care, and we support healthcare professionals across the globe with secure and effective imaging data management. Our focus on creating an exceptional experience – through the power of technology – has profiled us an empowerer of “flow” in industry, focusing on the wellness and satisfaction of our clinical users.

What is flow? The Flow theory is a psychological concept that was first introduced by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi in 1975*. It is defined as the state of being completely absorbed in an activity, where one’s skills are matched with the challenge at hand. Since then, business consultants have conducted extensive research on the flow theory, and its applications in various fields – such as education and business. According to Csikszentmihalyi, the conditions for entering flow are concepted as “perceived challenges, or opportunities for action, that stretch but do not overmatch existing skills. Clear proximal goals, technology and human.”

Continuing the 2024 “my life in flow” campaign, we are delighted to show clinicians’ adoption of true flow within the  latest series of client interviews. This time performed in Chile, Key Account Manager Andres Bobadilla engages with Head of the Imaging Department & Associate Professor of Radiology, Dr Pablo Soffia from Clinica Alemana de Santiago. This healthcare provider is recognised for its excellence in patient care and cutting-edge technology, being highly regarded in Latin America as a hospital with over 100 years of history in delivering medical innovation.

As a senior clinician at the Clinica Alemana de Santiago, Dr Soffia is a long-term advocate of the Enterprise Imaging Platform, having been both a client of AGFA’s IMPAX® picture archiving and communication system for many years, and now also a top engager for Enterprise Imaging evolution and optimisation. We thank him for sharing his candid and wholesome views – demonstrating his vast experience in industry and commitment to imaging evolution.

Industry colleagues are no stranger to AGFA HealthCare’s drive – that’s life in flow is an integral anchor to our company intuition – profiling our investment, drive and ambition as a class-leading Enterprise Imaging partner. We invite you to hear about Dr Soffia’s life in flow here.
