AGFA HealthCare is proud to announce the successful go-live of its Enterprise Imaging platform at Diakonessenhuis, marking an important milestone in the hospital’s journey toward a more connected, efficient, and future-ready imaging environment. Following the partnership announcement earlier this year, the solution is now live across the hospital’s locations in Utrecht, Zeist, and Doorn, Netherlands.

The implementation supports Diakonessenhuis’ digital transformation strategy by providing a unified imaging platform that enables clinicians to access, manage, and share imaging data more efficiently across departments and sites. Designed to support interoperability, streamlined workflows, and improved collaboration, Enterprise Imaging helps ensure the right information is available at the right time to support patient care.

Ann Deroose, Managing Director Benelux & Nordics, AGFA HealthCare, commented:

“We are delighted to reach this important milestone together with Diakonessenhuis. The successful go-live reflects the strong partnership between our teams and a shared commitment to connected, patient-focused care. With Enterprise Imaging now live, clinicians have a solid foundation for improved collaboration, greater efficiency, and continued innovation across the organization.”

The success of the project has been driven by close collaboration between clinical, operational, and IT teams throughout Diakonessenhuis. Their dedication and engagement have helped ensure the new platform aligns with clinical workflows while supporting the hospital’s long-term digital ambitions.

Jelle Room, Implementation Project Manager:

“This successful go-live is, above all, a team achievement, made possible through the close collaboration between Diakonessenhuis and AGFA HealthCare. Thanks to the dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness of colleagues from across the hospital to contribute ideas, build, test, train, and embrace change, we have achieved something special together. From the initial market exploration in September 2025, through the selection of the supplier in February 2026 and the contract signing with AGFA HealthCare in March 2026, we have worked together towards this successful launch.

Within just one year of the project’s start, the first departments now have a new, hospital-wide image management system for reviewing, viewing, and reporting on images, and we are able to share all this data with external parties.”

As a recognized teaching hospital, Diakonessenhuis continues to invest in technologies that support high-quality, sustainable healthcare delivery. The go-live of Enterprise Imaging strengthens its ability to provide secure, accessible imaging information while preparing for future growth and increasing collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem. That’s clinical empowerment for one of the Netherlands’ leading hospitals.

AGFA HealthCare thanks the Diakonessenhuis team for its trust, partnership, and commitment throughout the implementation. We look forward to continuing our collaboration—helping the hospital realize the value of Enterprise Imaging today while building a strong foundation for future innovation.
