We are delighted to announce that Diakonessenhuis has taken a significant step toward future ready imaging by investing in AGFA HealthCare for the implementation of a unified Enterprise Imaging platform. This partnership marks an important milestone in the hospital’s digital transformation journey, supporting its strategic ambition to deliver integrated, high-quality care across all sites.
The Diakonessenhuis is a recognized teaching hospital – not only contributing to medical progress, but also to the scientific development of our healthcare professionals. They operate with over 3000 colleagues at three different locations – Utrecht, Zeist, and Doorn – and excel in emergency care, maternity care, cancer patients and the elderly community.
Evolving technology, changing regulations, and increasing collaboration between healthcare organisations are creating new demands for hospitals’ imaging infrastructure. To meet these needs, Diakonessenhuis sought a solution that would ensure all medical images are centrally available, interoperable across applications, and seamlessly shareable with partner institutions.
AGFA HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging platform will provide a scalable foundation that connects clinical teams, supports workflow efficiency, and improves access to imaging data, helping the hospital enhance patient care while preparing for the future.
“We are proud to partner with Diakonessenhuis in building an imaging ecosystem that grows with the needs of its clinicians and patients,” says Ann Deroose, Sales Director, Benelux and Nordics at Agfa HealthCare. “Their collaborative and forward-looking approach reflects a strong commitment to delivering sustainable, connected care. With Enterprise Imaging, the hospital is well positioned to support efficient workflows today and enable the interoperability requirements of tomorrow.”
Over recent months, clinicians and supporting departments at Diakonessenhuis worked together to define the needs, requirements, and shared vision for the new imaging system. Their involvement has helped create strong internal alignment and ensures the solution is designed around real-world workflows.
The partnership underscores AGFA HealthCare’s mission to support healthcare providers with enterprise-wide imaging platforms that empower healthcare providers to strengthen clinical collaboration, security, and long-term digital resilience.
We welcome Diakonessenhuis to #TeamAGFA, and look forward to an collaborative partnership.
