From Shortage to Strength:
Networked Radiology and AI for a Sustainable Imaging Future
Radiology across Europe faces unprecedented challenges—rising imaging volumes, workforce shortages, and increasing clinical complexity. At ECR 2026, our Satellite Symposium brings together leading experts from Greece, Belgium, the UK, and Italy to share practical strategies for building resilient imaging services through networked radiology and AI integration.
Delegates will discover:
- The strategic role of networked radiology in addressing workforce shortages, and how to improve access to diagnostic imaging across diverse healthcare settings.
- How to best evaluate governance and regulatory frameworks for implementing teleradiology services in compliance with European Society of Radiology standards.
- Operational models of regional collaboration and their impact on efficiency, resource utilization, and the delivery of patient care.
- Real-world applications of AI in radiology, including its benefits for diagnostic confidence, workflow optimization, and clinician support.
- Best practices for interoperability and data security in integrated imaging networks across public and private sectors.
- Ethical considerations and future trends in AI adoption and networked radiology within European health systems.
This session goes beyond theory, offering real-world insights from pioneers who have successfully implemented these models. You’ll learn best practices for governance, operational efficiency, and ethical AI adoption—critical knowledge for radiologists seeking future-ready solutions.
Join us for this incredible session, where we will show how innovation can transform imaging services and position your organisation for success in an evolving healthcare landscape. AGFA HealthCare is also offering a complimentary working lunch for pre-registrants.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with Thought leaders and gain actionable strategies for the future of radiology.

From Pixels to Practical Outcomes:
Orchestrating Trustworthy AI Across Radiology with Enterprise Imaging
Workflow Intelligence, Foundation Models, and the Art of Clinical Trust in the AI Era
Radiology stands at a critical inflection point. After more than a decade of innovation focused largely on pixel-level algorithms, the field is now entering a new phase, one defined not by isolated AI tools, but by intelligence orchestration across the entire imaging enterprise.
This session reflects radiology’s growing emphasis on knowledge, judgment, and clinical wisdom in the age of AI. It explores how radiology AI is evolving from detection-centric models toward foundation models, non-pixel intelligence, and agentic AI systems that actively support clinical workflows, decision-making, and longitudinal patient care.
