- Cardiology solution provides clinicians access to ECG exams anywhere: hospital-wide, from office or home, or while travelling.
- Easier and faster to display, edit, confirm, print and archive ECGs.
- Eliminates need for clinicians to perform time- and labor-consuming searches for ECG exams.

Agfa HealthCare announces today the availability of a customer case study detailing how Coshocton County Memorial Hospital in Coshocton, Ohio has witnessed impressive gains in efficiency and clinician satisfaction as a direct result of its implementation of Agfa HealthCare's IMPAX HeartStation, a data processing solution that automates the processing and storage of electrocardiograms (ECGs). The customer case study is available at Agfa HealthCare's booth #2235 at the American Cardiology Conference (ACC) annual meeting, which will be held from April 2-5, 2011 in New Orleans, La.

Improved access to historical and current ECG exams
The system provides a single point of access to historical and current ECG exams, and improves physician access to ECG exams by providing the ability to display, review, edit, confirm, print and archive ECGs throughout the secure hospital network, wherever it extends. IMPAX HeartStation integrates seamlessly with IMPAX CardioVascular (CV) and includes features to support 15-lead ECG, stress test and Holter monitor measurements.

IMPAX HeartStation eliminates paper exam printouts and digitally displays, confirms, prints and archives ECGs hospital-wide, as well as providing ECG access from a physician's office or home.

IMPAX HeartStation helps streamline patient care
The most significant benefit, as seen by Coshocton clinicians, resides in the ease and convenience with which Coshocton physicians now read ECGs. "Prior to working with Agfa HealthCare we had scores of ECGs, which required laborious, time-consuming searches," says Steve Feller, director of the hospital's cardiac lab and stress rooms, Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. "Now our physicians can compare a patient's most recent ECG with ECGs going back some three years. And they can do it 24/7 - at any time of the day or night - from home, office or while traveling."

Agfa HealthCare's IMPAX HeartStation has been able to streamline patient care by making it easier and faster for clinicians to display, edit, confirm, print and archive ECGs. The system also speeds patient care decision-making by including ECGs in the patient's web-accessible cardiology record.

Agfa HealthCare supports hospital goal to deliver 'the right care right here'
"We're pleased to be able to work with Coshocton County Memorial Hospital and help them in their quest to deliver 'the right care right here' with a comprehensive cardio solution that gives clinicians anywhere, anytime access to their cardiology records," said Lisa Braunreuther, Global Business Manager, Cardiology IT for Agfa HealthCare.
