XERO Technology Viewer is a thin client-based Internet browser that requires no additional software or plug-ins to operate correctly (not even Adobe Flash, Microsoft ActiveX, Microsoft Silverlight, Sun Java, a DLL, an EXE, and so forth.).
True service-oriented architecture
The true service-oriented architecture enables interoperability between healthcare and traditional IT environments. XERO Technology Viewer enables access to healthcare information through IT systems that are not normally designed for healthcare IT communication standards or data models and file types.
The bridge between HealthCare IT and traditional IT
XERO Technology Viewer uses standards from Healthcare IT (DICOM SR, C-Find, C-Move, WADO, and IHE actors for ATNA, CPI, SINR, KIN, and SWF) as well as standards from traditional IT (LDAP, SSO, HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, JPEG and RESTful web services). Integration designs are therefore not limited to DICOM, but can be based on existing web standards. Healthcare IT staff can integrate applications without sacrificing interoperability with the rest of the healthcare enterprise.
Enterprise Clinical Visualization
XERO Technology Viewer is an enterprise-class clinical visualization solution. Deployment challenges are overcome by using server-side computing, allowing the loading and processing of large images and image sets in a controlled environment at the data center, and enabling image viewers to run on existing workstations and across simple DSL and cable network connections.
